The second edition of the National Para-Badminton Championships will take place at Lugogo Indoor Stadium from 3rd to 5th of December 2018.

Entries are welcome from all players before the entry deadline on Sunday, 18th of November, 1pm.

After a successful week of hosting the 2nd Uganda Para-Badminton International the Uganda Badminton Association is again in full gear to host the 1st African Para-Badminton Championships. Matches will start on Tuesday, 1st of May, 2018, at Lugogo Indoor Stadium, Kampala.

After a successful classification of new players the 2nd Uganda Para-Badminton International Championships have started at Lugogo Indoor Stadium. With a total number of 174 entries from 13 countries it attracted almost 100 players more than the maiden tournament last year.

After 216 matches in 19 events the tournament came to an end with the medal awarding ceremony. Guests of honour were Paul Kurzo, Vice President Badminton World Federation in charge of para-badminton, Lady Precious Berty Achumba, the Honourable Commissioner Ministry of Special Duty Vulnerable People, Abia State, Nigeria, Mohamad Maina, Vice President Badminton Nigeria and Hadji Shaban Muziransa Nkutu, Chairman Uganda Badminton Association.

Agitos, the development arm of the International Paralympic Committee, has chosen Uganda to host the first ever project in Africa to identify new players and improve their skills.

After struggling for funds for more than five weeks the Para-badminton Commission had to withdraw the entire Ugandan team from the World Championships 2017, scheduled for 21st to 26th of November in Ulsan, Korea.

The 2017 Para-Badminton World Championships will take place in Ulsan, Republic of Korea, from 21st to 26th of November.
