The Uganda Olympic Committee Medical commission would like to inform you that it is carrying out the Out-of-Competition Anti-doping tests.
The Doping Control Officers very soon will arrive at your competition venues without warning or prior notice. In other words they do not need formal invitation to the clubs or request for permission. They will just show up at the training venues, introduce themselves to the coach available and then go on with the sample collection.
This is to therefore request that you disseminate this information appropriately and quickly to avoid inconveniences.
Kindly note that failure to submit a sample or denial of access to the targeted athletes constitutes to an Anti-doping rule violation punishable by WADA with suspension of the coach involved. Please refer to the WADA website for more details. www.wada-ama.org
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) has published a list that shows who could qualify for the Rio 2016 Olympics each week, based only on world ranking points earned from tournaments within the Olympic Qualification Period.
World Badminton Education has just released a new badminton APP. The contents of the APP, describes in details most aspects inside badminton regarding tactics, technical strokes and footwork. Also the APP offers a suggestion to how to build up badminton practice in an age related perspective.
The APP can be found on App store, and you just search under “world badminton education” or just “badminton education”. The APP is made for iOS and Android platforms.
The level 1 BWF Coaching Course has been concluded in Uganda. It started on 21st and end on 25th September 2014 with 14 participants that attracted 4 Kenyans.
