The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has published the new PROHIBITED LIST coming into effect on 1 January 2020. All athletes are encouraged to go through the lists below.
We have sent a team to the BWF World Junior Championships to be held in Kazan, Russia, from 30-September to 13-October-2019. The players are Kasirye Brian, Arshart Mohammed, Wasswa Samuel, Kobugabe Husina, Naluwooza Tracy and Fadila Shamika. The coach is Ivan Karimunda.
They were flagged off by the officials of National Council of Sports at the NCS Headquarters Lugogo.
Uganda is the only country that will represent the African continent in this year’s championship after South Africa and Ghana withdrew from the event.
BWF has published a memorandum referring to the highlights of recent regulation changes.
This memorandum is a summary of the important recent changes to the Laws and Technical Regulations about which Players and Coaches should be informed. It is important that they are aware of these changes so they can behave accordingly at upcoming tournaments. Having said that, it is still recommended that all Member Associations, Players, Coaches, Team Managers, and all other stakeholders be aware of all BWF Codes of Conduct, Laws, and Regulations.
